Occasionally a little slow getting to the table during a Saturday rush, but everyone is very nice. I had a little experience when my body reacted poorly to donating platelets and the staff was amazing and fast to respond to my situation. Great group of folks over there.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. My favorite part is all the snacks and good coffee available. I don’t recommend drinking the coffee before donating blood though. This experience wasn’t as great as the first but learning. Keep up the great work ladies.
Had a very nice experience donating platelets. Everyone was considerate and professional. Special thank you to Carla who went to great lengths to make sure the whole experience was positive.
Went to get my blood drawn and while the lady was nice she missed the vein in my right arm. She attempted to readjust and apparently missed because blood began gushing out of my arm. We were eventually able to stop the bleeding. She tried my left arm but missed the vein. She asked for her superior to help and she stated “ I ain’t touching that.” So now I have huge bruises on both arms. Are they trainees? It sure seemed like it. I expect more from the Red Cross.
Last 2 trips have been a mess. 2 ago, appointments were overbooked, then staff wanted me to just wait ocer an hour instead of just doing a regular blood draw. Last one, staff apparently couldn't be bothered to check me in, the front desk laptop apparently has quirks as I had to do it myself. After a 10 minute wait, then had the initials done, and was told to go wait in the snack area for another 10 minutes.
