It's ok
Terrible. If you need assistance after being affected by a fire you will receive zero assistance. They will not give you one dime unless the fire chief reports that you were adversely affected. There are times when the damages are from water, smoke, and loss of gas.Yet, they will not help you! They are cold and calculating. Their suggestion, call 211! They pick and choose who they help. I will never donate to this organization ever again!
This organization is well known and aids and rescues many people. I am a donor via Amazon purchases. That being said, I wish that I could have reached my local ARC by telephone. Google gives numbers that are out of service for Montclair, Newark, and Nutley. I called ARC 800 number in the hopes that they could give me numbers for my area. They switched me to an automated 800 number in which a computer asks for your zip code. Twice, I was connected to LA. The next couple of times, I was connected to an answering machine.
