We received horrible service from the owner/manager and the water/pool tester's. The only person nice was the sweet girl at the front of the store. I cannot believe that a store can be in business over 20 years (so the manager kept telling us and he certainly was proud of it) and treat people in this manner. The counter helper wouldn't even make eye contact with us when we brought our water in for testing. And forget about asking questions, because they have no interest!! I was buying a automatic pool cleaner for my above ground pool. I stopped at a pool place near my house. Had questions but not much customer service. Went to American Pool and they told me what one was good. Very good customer service.

Mike and his staff are the best. I bought my pool one week and it was installed the next. When I had an issue with the pool, they were quick to resolve it, and helped in any way they could. Their staff are friendly and always willing to help when I walk into the store. I'd recommend them to anyone.

We purchased a pool from Mike Beani at American Pools last fall with the understanding it would be installed and closed for the winter. The pool was installed and paid for. However, when spring time came and they needed to cut the skimmer wholes in the pool and hook up the filter, the install Matt Rex would not return our phone calls. It took over a month of unanswered phone calls to the installer and American Pools to get anywhere. We bought a pellet stove insert from American Recreational and from day 1 had nothing but problems with it. They were out twice and couldn't fix it either time. We returned it after 3 weeks of not working right, but they refused to give us all our money back. Alls they care about is getting paid, they are all buddy buddy with you when your product works but when something doesn't work they could careless and want nothing to do with you.
