It was a terrible experience from day one. It has been over a year and our pool is still not fully complete. The mastic around the pool was done quickly and cheaply by her boyfriend instead of an actual pool builder that we paid her for. That part of the pool looks like a 8 year old did it. There was always an excuse for not getting tasks done, she cut through our electrical wires for our whole house and we were without power for an entire weekend. Things started off great then fall apart towards the end. Ended up having to fix multiple issues found during inspection, then found out later that one of the electrical wires had been live and my family had been at risk of shock every time we had been in the hot tub. We had to pay another company to repair the poor work that her electricians had done, which she promised to reimburse me for. It is now been over a year and I have not seen my money. I have reached out multiple times to a vague or no response.

This is the classic case of giving one star only because zero or negative stars are not an option.Under no circumstances should anyone engage this company in any kind of work. We had the worst experience with the owner - a constant litany of lies, excuses and evasion that culminated in her cutting off all communication and abandoning the project months after the promised completion date.We were left with a muddy hole in the backyard and short many thousands of dollars which we haven't gotten back. What a joke! ******* has the worst communication skills on top of poor planning, and failure to keep to her word. She let's projects sit for months at a time all while not returning your calls or messages. She always has an excuse for why the work wasn't done. I give her NO stars and will also be filing a complaint.

I decided to go with American Pools SD and was excited I was promised to have a completed project 3 months after ground breaking which was completed May 2022. It took much longer to get the pool finished and I am still waiting on a cover I have paid for over 10k still owed back to me for no cover. The owner is not responsive and completely unorganized. 15 months into a 3 month pool project with the project half complete. The pool was not built correctly and could not pass the counties inspection. The owner has stopped responding to phone calls, text messages and emails and has walked away from this job without fulfilling the contract.
