Was with American National for 40 years. New owners took over, my local agent retired and the Company became terrible; rates increased, service decreased, communication stopped. Canceled the insurance and they continued taking money from my account.
The agent I dealt with ran my credit multiple times under the incorrect name and without asking what name to run under or checking to see if I wanted him to run it backwards under a shortened version of my legal name (Thanks for the major drop in my score, by the way). He also got antagonistic towards my lender. I still don't know exactly what was said, but I wouldn't do business with this office if I were looking for a place to cover me again.
