Every experience I have had with these EMTs has been unprofessional and traumatic. They misreport serious symptoms and fail to coordinate appropriate care on drop off. They tried to start a line in the side of my wrist with a massive needle for no real reason (why not either of my elbows??). The EMT doing so hit a valve, and when I requested to wait to try again until we got to the hospital, he asked if I had a psychiatric history. I will be taking an Uber next time.
Billing system is a racket
Wow, what a racket. My 14 year old was "forced" to take the ambulance from one hospital to another and then from the 2nd hospital to Denver when both my husband and I were willing to drive him. And now the bills total $4,500, no thank you! It's a complete racket. The docs at the hospital tell you that you have NO CHOICE and it's not like you can check if these buses are on your insurance.
