My wife and preteen daughter were in an auto accident in Lagrange. AMR responded as the medical to render aid. They told my wife she wasn't hurt even though she had a large knot on her head and was obviously disoriented. Then after they finally agreed to haul my wife they told her my daughter would be left at the accident scene unless they were "treating" her. My wife was in an accident in Lagrange and AMR took her to the hospital. She tried to give the folks that took her our insurance information and they wouldn't take it. Three days later she got a text for the bill. Called the number on the text got someone who barely spoke english and they told me they couldn't add her insurance information. After a six call I finally got someone to add the insurance who then told me since we weren't a "team member" that we were responsible for anything insurance didn't pay. 7 years ago AMR was called to my house for a severe hypoglycemia episode. The paramedics came and got my blood sugar up to normal levels. Upon doing so I tried to refuse transport to local hospital. The paramedics told sheriff's deputies that I had to be transported and could not refuse transport. I have filed numerous appeals with the company concerning the transport bill and all refused even with a witness,my mother, to the denial of refusal. Now 7 years later am in collections. What a terrible business practice.
Even though I'm no longer employed here I was shown on 12/20/21 that everyone here is still my family. My brother had a motorcycle accident and was a trauma activation. Within 5 minutes of the accident AMR supervisor and the responding crew both called my personal number to update me on my brother. They treated him like family the whole ride to Columbus.
We had to call 911 lastnight f!or assistance with my step mom who was having diabetic seizures. AMR team, Tim Mason and Lisa Crenshaw, arrived within minutes and knew exactly what to do. These two very knowledgeable professionals got her stable and went above and beyond to help her. Tim even cooked her some eggs and oatmeal! So thankful for this excellent care!
