They are horrible. Stuck me 3x to get an IV in, on one of the bumpiest roads in Independence. Didnt succeed. Sent me a bill, I called to have them bill my insurance. 4 days later I get another bill with threats. Good luck with that. The more you act in that manner, the longer you wait. Im not afraid of "collections". Because medical debt does not affect credit.
Unfortunately, they have a monopoly in the Independence Missouri area. The personnel are great, don't get me wrong. They provide adequate service and treatment, however any kind of billing that goes through this company is ridiculously bad bad. They DO NOT work well with Insurance providers. They HAVE NO agreement with GEHA or United Healthcare and expect us to pay well above and beyond allowed amounts!!! It's hiway robbery.
About a month after using this service (not by choice) I received a call from a collection agency requesting payment of the full amount of over $1,000. I told them I hadn't even received a bill and it couldn't have been submitted to my insurance. I told them i hadn't received a bill and wasn't paying anything until I did, and could see what insurance paid. Finally got it straightened out. They picked up my friend took her to center point in April '24 ok. But, they ran into my car and damaged it. My car was parked across the street, down two houses. The girl took my info, pictures. Said someone would call. No one has called. I have called several times. No return calls. It damaged the metal on the side and unconnected the bumper. It is now end of August and no calls. I did report to my insurance company. They have not heard anything either.
Worst experience in my life. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO MISTREATED.. Kirsten and Brandy were the worst paramedics I've ever encountered. I've been on the medical field for 17 years an I would never treat my patients this way
