Absolute terrible experience with AMR. I needed a ride from them last year, and got a huge bill. I've since contested it, only to find out today (9 January 2026) that it had been denied months ago. When was I going to get their decision letter they claim to send out? I will be appealing further, and will never be using their services again.
On 12/14/2025, I called Dekalb County emergency services for a severe headache and vomiting. It tool the medics approximately 22 minutes to arrive. Once they made contact, I requested to be assessed in the ambulance because I have two young children and didn’t want to worry them. I had a blown vessel in my eye, I explained I had been experiencing a debilitating headache for maybe 4 or 5 days. Brittany Davis and Denisha Vaughn was nice and sweet to me cause I was scared that day and they went above and beyond and to be honest I really had bad experience with emts and kind of hate calling them but the ladies gave me a change of heart thank you so much ❤️
So, I fell and hit my head in the parking lot of my apartment building. When the paramedics arrived I was already on a virtual call with my sister. I have an extensive and difficult medical history and I've only been treated my Emory for over 20 years now. My sister and I both pleaded for me to be transported to an Emory hospital. Instead, they took me to Grady. When I got there the nurse asked the paramedics why didn't they take me where I requested to go. I felt dismissed, unheard, and insulted by the paramedics.
