The facility is beautiful and very clean. The staff we met were friendly and helpful as well. All of the above was true, however, my "One Star" is based on false information my family received prior to admission. We were assured American House staff was equipped to handle our father's ostomy bag, but after being in the facility for a little more than a month we were informed we would have to find other housing. American House Senior Living at Coconut Point is a wonderful facility. From the top down, the care and dedication of the staff truly stand out. The Executive Director was kind, took her time speaking with me, and clearly has a heart for helping residents—she genuinely looks out for them. My 99 year old mother is a resident of American House Coconut Point. She is in their Assisted Living neighborhood. Mom has lived here in Florida since May of this year. She has had a horrible experience with nursing facilities in the past up in Massachusetts. So naturally, she was very hesitant to move in to a new facility. I can’t say enough great things about American House Coconut Point! The community is warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The staff genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and supported.
