Do not do business with this builder. Was under contract on a new build contingent on selling current home. Contract fell through and they stole our earnest money deposit and are refusing to give it back.

American Homesmith builds quality homes and employs quality people. We closed on our house in the Fall of 2023. Our walk through with Tom Carrao went wonderfully and his follow-up on questions was superior. Recently, another builder started a house on the lot behind us and I wanted to verify the property line. Tonya Friend immediately scheduled a survey and the task was completed in 2 days. Backyard is completely ruined and we have been in the house 2 months. Sod has been taken up 4 times and put back 4 times. Backyard just holds 2-3” of water after every rain for longer than 72hrs. Once the standing water is gone the yard is complete mush. No urgency to fix the problem they created by not properly grading the lot.

House is beautiful but made with very cheap materials. Low quality paint and building materials.
