My grandmother is disabled senior and they took advantage of her. She called when her water heater went out and when we found out a pipe was leaking to the furnace. She paid out of pocket and then they tell me I need to do a new work order for the pipe to the furnace as that was considered a separate work order
AHS is extremely deceptive. They list a bunch of things that are warranted, but when you attempt to get repairs, they find a way to cast it’s not covered for one reason or another. Or, in the case of a free service, like heating tuneup and rekey service, pnce you use one they tell you that you can’t use the other. The issue is they list them as separate free included services, not as one or the other. Moreover, you cannot find this in the contract and neither can they. They just say “it’s company policy”. They deny deny deny coverage. Even simple issues. They are happy to take your premium payment but good luck getting them to take responsibility for any repairs. Their business plan for any claim is to first deny everything.
I paid for three years to protect my HVAC and when I originally signed up, the coverage was 100% nothing out-of-pocket except for a service call. Now coverage is less and the way the inspection was written denied me coverage. Very disappointed and this was too good to be true. I’ve read a lot of other reviews and Better Business Bureau complaints most of them within the last year but when I researched them prior to signing up, there was very little complaints to be found. Buyer beware.
Washer and dryer broke. The service man they sent out said that our machines were so old that there are no replacement parts, that we would be getting new machines. This was almost 3 weeks ago. Homeshield has had us in limbo this entire time - we called and they said they are getting the parts. We explained we were told the parts dont exist.
