DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!! READ ALL THE VERY MANY BAD REVIEWS! American Home Shield makes it nearly impossible to cancel. After canceling on July 7, 2025, I was still charged $352 on Sept 14. Every call led to long holds and pushy reps trying to talk me out of canceling. There’s no online cancel option, only exhausting phone calls. After researching, I found many others have the exact same problem: ignored cancellations, continued billing, and endless hold times. This is predatory billing. Avoid this company.
Just ended my 5 years of loyalty to this company. The worst experience I've ever had with a company. Do not use this AHS. When I asked for the report from the technician they lied and said they can't send it. How can something be denied without proof? Dishonest, untrustworthy company that doesn't care about a loyal customer of 5 years. DO NOT USE AHS!!!!
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with American Home Shield (AHS) has been nothing short of a nightmare. I contacted them months ago to fix my Samsung refrigerator, which had stopped cooling properly. I followed all troubleshooting steps and paid $125 for a technician, who arrived five hours late (at 8 PM instead of the scheduled 12–3 PM window), offered no real diagnosis, and scratched my refrigerator while pushing it back into place. DO NOT USE. Listen to all the reviews here. Also, they use ANTECH APPLIANCES for the repairs. They are even worse. Lookup their reviews also. I needed my frig repaired. They dragged me for over 2 months and sent 4 techs. They couldn't fix it. NONE of them could speak English so we could have a conversation. And they will NOT replace it (as their contract suggest) either. It's a full waist of time and money. I finally went and bought a new frig my self.
DO NOT use these people. I tried calling to shop around for a new policy and was on hold for more than 20 minutes to speak to someone. After I hung up, 15 minutes later they call me back but I decided to just renew my current policy with First American Home Warranty because their customer service is great but their cost is slightly higher.
