I have tried to cancel my American home shield insurance many times but they keep telling me that I need to wait for a specific time window. When I’ve called during that window, they tell me that it’s not the correct window and tell me a new window. They refuse to cancel my insurance policy. When I try to put in an order for any project they never actually send anyone and have cancelled multiple times. This company is a scam!!!

I submitted TWO warranty requests with American Home Shield because I have natural gas leaking in my garage—a real safety issue. Instead of being honest and telling me they couldn’t find a contractor, they just CANCELLED my request with no warning. After calling multiple times, I was told I needed to wait 24–48 hours. No help. Subject: Breach of Contract – Denied Coverage for Pressure Tank Replacement Like other insurance companies, AHS has denied a claim despite clear language in their agreement. I have the top-tier plan with AHS and recently discovered a leak in my American Standard Power Flush Toilet. This warranty company is a JOKE! You pay your monthly premium and the $100 fee for them to come out to repair an item when it breaks but….we are still waiting 5 weeks later for them to make a decision regarding our broken Frig! Literally they have sent 3 vendors out to diagnose and or repair the problem. The first 2 they sent said REPLACE IT because it’s too old to keep fixing.
