Man I wish I would have read the reviews for AGL before investing over $20K over the last decade as a loyal customer with a company that may honestly, not even exist! The ONLY way they allow you to communicate with them is via fax (sketchy!), you can never get an answer or resolution - even when you "escalate" your call to a supervisor (sketchy!), every action or inaction on their side seems to be the fault of their anonymous "underwriting department" (SO sketchy!), and on top of the 30+ minute hold times to speak to a super... read more
HORRENDOUS customer service. They have no idea what they’re doing and will file an unwanted claim if you’re only asking for account info. They do not listen and act like they are always correct. Do not work with them.
Had a life insurance policy for 20 years... when I tried to cancel after that timeframe they will not acknowledge cancellation, they simply say wait until the billing cycle comes, and when it's not paid, it will terminate. This ultimately looks like I'm not paying my bill when I clearly cancelled. Worried that this will look like a late/non payment and I have a flawless credit rating in this regard. Calling them is useless as the people they hire can accomplish nothing. Terrible company... do not use!!!!
I just call American general to get an update. Because my mother has paid a policy and lashed him. I had to get my lawyer to update the power of attorney and beneficiary. Because nobody told us that Yale didn't let me know and nothing. Most companies, you never, you're beneficial never expires. But y'all told me that it expires so I was calling the fan.
