The floor in the kitchen of this 1944 home had collapsed because some joists had cracked. And another part of the house the walls were sinking because the original support was sinking into a soft part of the ground. American Foundation offered to install new steel beams with smart jacks, sister the originals joists and level the floor. Also cover the entire ground in the crawl space with plastic covering, install a dehumidifier and cover all of the opening in the crawl space. The work cost was very competitive. American Foundation and Basement Repairs came out to fix a sagging screened in porch. During the repair of the sag they tore off part of the next porch post and broke two 2x10 trusses for a deck that was in the process of being rebuilt. Their guys that came out did not deny the damage, but did claim “the wood was wet” or “there was termite damage”. The wood was wet because they came out in the rain to work. Arrow exterminators came by and said their was no termite damage, they did point out that the trusses bent two of the 6... read more
Business response:
Mr. Walker, Our company was hired to install new posts with deep foundations due to the continued settlement of the porch corner. I have been trying to get a sump pump installed for a year. The 1st company gave me an estimate, the crew came out and attempted , but said it was to much rock. The 2nd company came out, gave estimate, crew came out and didn't even attempt, said it was to hard. This company came out and did what they said they would do. A gentleman named Damien hammered for 4 full days busting through the rock, very hard worker. Very professional company and I highly recommend them to everybody
great work at a fair price
American Foundation and Basement Repairs is second to none! They do what say and the best customer service. Quality work! Reliable!
Great company to deal with from start to finish. They kept in touch very well through the scheduling and pre-work process and showed up on time as expected. They did great work and left us with a clean, and most importantly DRY, basement when they left. The price was significantly less than other estimate I received from their competitor. I highly recommend this company if you have a wet basement or any other services they offer.
If you need work done you should use American Foundation. Darle and Jackie our very honest and hard working people.
