My husband has had a policy (home and auto) for 18 years, and we have left Am Fam. The experience we have had with a recent accident (we were not at fault) has been awful. In particular, an adjuster by the name of Purnell was especially frustrating. Next to nothing as for contact from him, and then when we did finally get a call, his attitude toward my husband was ridiculous. I would like to personally thank John and his agency for years of service to our family. They helped us out on many occasions. I over the approximate decade that John was out agent We had several home and auto claims and each one went very well. The only exception being when American Family Corporate got involved and would not pay enough for our hail damage. Initially, John was a good agent who helped us with insurance on our Colorado retirement home. But something must have happened, since we could never contact him after that. We had American Insurance in Kansas under Tom Moody, who was a great agent . He even gave out his cell phone number. We moved to USAA for our cars and Farm Bureau for house. We're much happier now.
