Unfair Charges, Dismissive Staff, and No Accountability: I’ve been a loyal American Family Insurance customer for years, and I’ve never felt more disrespected or dismissed. Loss of confidence in this agency. Switched agents. Last few interactions: 1) In general, everything always required following up. No proactive updates. 2) Asked for a car insurance quote for a couple cars. For each, I was given both a monthly price and the 6 month total. For each, the 6 month total was not 6x the quoted monthly rate (i.e. I was quoted $2XX/month (...) for a car with a 6 month total of $1052 - that obviously doesn't square). I have had a American Family Insurance for over 30 years. I might be able to find a cheaper insurance company but American Family has always been good to me. Very easy to work with. I’m very prompt when you call them. I don’t think I will ever change insurance companies.
