Jake Buttram is a stand up guy, and was super helpful in answering my questions about homeowners insurance as a new homeowner. My wife and I are very recent homeowners and we are very green in the process, and Jake was super helpful and informative about how it all works, gave me good advice on how escrow accounts work, and he did all these even though we didn't end up signing with American Family for our insurance plan. Jacob R Buttram has done a great job, helped us save money, and has been there when we needed it. Companies are fine, but agents are what makes insurance work. If you can find a better insurance agent, you better hang onto him/her.
I had been with American Family since I was 16. A very long time ago. Only wen thru 2 agents and 2 secretaries ( due to retirement) They were both very polite and knowledgeable. They had my back. Due to unforseen money problems I was late on a payment by 4 days or so. They ended up canceling my insurance because I made the payment lat and didn't pay the next months in advance.
