American Family Fitness told me that I owe them $*** when we have been in a pandemic for over a year. I have literally been to the gym zero times in the last year at least, due to a spinal fusion, knee injury, and shoulder surgery. I have probably only gone 8 times or so in the last 3 years total. I spoke to a AMFAM rep about this on a couple different occasions and was told this would not be a problem and not to worry about it. I was not told I had to fill out a form online until today. I had some extreme life circumstances including health of a spouse and financial difficulties as a direct result of Covid and they refused to allow me to cancel my membership. They were unsympathetic and offered no reasonable solution to allow me out of my membership. They are a money hungry company that doesn’t care about the people they serve only the money they make off of them. Because of selfish and inflexible business practices I would not recommend them. They simply don’t care.

Let me tell you about American Family Fitness and the way they take care of American Families during these very difficult times. They don’t care that there’s a pandemic, they don’t care if you are taking care of immune compromised parents, they don’t care you haven’t been to their facility since February before the shutdown, they don’t care that you maybe experiencing financial hardship. This company misrepresents fee charges specifically with transition from a regular membership to Silver Sneaker membership. Did not inform me of restrictions with Silver Sneaker membership. I found Ashley and Lisa Johnson difficult when attempting to resolve this issue. Anyone planning on joining this AmFam site should seriously research, doublecheck any information a AmFam teammember tells you. I have notified other necessary parties and will continue to do so.
