Had solar shades and honeycombs installed.....while this company may take a bit longer than others the price certainly makes up for it. Find it hard to believe that this guy has ripped people off as even my dog likes him! Had a cord break last night and called ken this morning (Sunday) and he answered his phone in the grocery store.Coming this week to fix. Sounds like pretty good customer service to me.
I have had the same experience as the above people took my deposit cashed it and dissappeared into thin air refuses to answer phone. I have called the police and they are looking for him as we speak.
WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! – If there were anything lower than a one star rating, even THAT would be too high! Ths scumbag took two deposits from us. One for regular blinds and one for plantation shutters. The regular blinds were delievered on time, he came back twice to fix mistakes. We were told the Plantation Shutters would take 6-8 weeks (enough time for him to take our deposit and clear the bank). Now when we call to get the status, he is gone without a trace. BEWARE OF THIS GUY,He did alot of work for us since 1996 on and off.This last March he came over and did 2 windows for us (Plantion Shutters), after the installation we hired him for another window on our Master bedroom.He took our deposit, cashed it at a local Deli/supermarket and went MIA and will not answer his phone or call back, however the SOB will call you for new buisness.We live in Palm Beach County and since he lives in Ft.Lauderdale we can't charge him locally for theft.A police report was done on him and the loca... read more
Don't buy from this guy !! – Kenneth Cloutier from American Discount Window treatments ripped me off for $400.00 Took my check and vanished into thin air. This was in August '08, and I have never heard from him. L Hall
5 STARS – My family & friends have used American Discount Blinds on numerous occasions. Excellent prices, quality products and super service. Nothing else to say!
Bad News....it seems this owner has disappeared into the night with the deposit. – We gave Ken Cloutier, Owner of American Discount Blinds monies on 5/20/07 which represented 50percent of the job...over $4,000 deposit for plantation shutters for the entire house. Guess what? We haven't heard a word from him and we can just imagine what he might have done with our deposit!!! after reading the first review here on Citisearch.... NOT RECOMMENDED - STAY AWAY – My experience with American Discount Blinds has been so terrible that I want to warn others--BEWARE AND BETTER YET, GO ELSEWHERE!!.. I contracted with this company to install a full house (every window and every door) of plantation shutters. The company was evidently inexperienced in installing shutters without telling me in advance.
