I replaced the mortar that was failing in my patio and walkway. Sean came out walked me through the process; we agreed on a fair and reasonable price. He had a team out the next day and was completed in three days. Work is excellent and backed by a 5-year warranty. I happily recommend American Deck & Patio to anyone thinking about stone work or repair.

We have a deck that was updated around 2000 but has elements dating back to the original construction in the ‘40s, so it is not a 100% straightforward project. We obtained three bids to replace decking and screen in a covered portion of the deck. American deck was not the most expensive, although they were not too far from the highest bid. I'm pleased to submit this 5 star review for American Deck and Patio. We interviewed a few different contractors but were most impressed by Sean's design of a 2 tiered patio and deck resurface which made the decision to go with AmDeck easy. He walked us through all options, thoroughly explaining pros and cons of each, while considering our budget. I'm absolutely thrilled with the work Sean and his crew did on our screened porch. I'm fairly particular and wanted to be involved in the project, probably more than most clients, and Sean worked with me throughout to get the porch I wanted. He was communicative and explained pros/cons of all the various options. Very difficult to work with, we went weeks or more without answers to our emails at points. We ran into some zoning issues, which I later learned are typical in DC, and which AMdeck didn't mention before stating a potential completion date. As a result, they suggested we use a "postcard" permit, which is an illegal way of showing a fake in the window, so that our neighbors would be less likely to request a work shutdown.
