Very difficult to work with, we went weeks or more without answers to our emails at points. We ran into some zoning issues, which I later learned are typical in DC, and which AMdeck didn't mention before stating a potential completion date. As a result, they suggested we use a "postcard" permit, which is an illegal way of showing a fake in the window, so that our neighbors would be less likely to request a work shutdown. Sean and his team were fast and professional. They did an amazing job on our deck refurbishment. He and his team came highly recommended to us and they did not disappoint. Communication was superb and the timeline from quote to finish was quick! They left everything in better shape than they found it. We love our "new" deck!!
We had a great experience working with Sean and his team. They rescued our aging brick patio from sinking into the ground. Now it looks like new and will be an excellent family space for years to come. Everyone on the team was very professional, highly skilled and efficient. And best of all, no surprises. They did what they promised and in fact over delivered.
During the summer of 2022 we reconstructed our wood deck to composite and expanded it. While we loved the additional space it quickly became clear that those who build the deck did a very poor job. Enter American Deck! I reached out to American Deck because they were listed as a Platinum installer of Timbertech composite decking. Great experience with this team. Sean listened to what we wanted, was responsive to and incorporated our requests into the new design. Old deck pretty rotted away, new deck gorgeous and just what we asked for. Not a complicated design but with finicky details in the privacy fence around the deck which were all met beautifully.
