My car was broken into while transporting my car. The car was suppose to be locked but it wasnt. They promised to pay a portion of my lose but never did. They are not a good company to work with. They also charged me a lot more than their competitors.

Every person at AmericanAuto and each part of the process to ship my two cars cross country were handled professionally as with care. Cars arrived on time and in perfect condition. Excellent experience overall!

American Automobile Transportation was the worst experience I have ever had with a business. They were not truthful about shipping times or hiring a company that they considered reliable. I paid them to ship my pickup truck from their terminal in Canton to Campbell CA. Even paid an extra $200.00 and chose an easier drop off than the original contracted destination of Santa Cruz. After a week at the terminal the truck was picked up and sent to Orlando FL not to CA as contracted. The broker never even knew this until we inform... read more

This company is completely disreputable. I was lied to from the minute I called. I was in urgent need to get a car shipped and they said I was in luck they had "their" driver who could take the load today. Then I get a call saying I need to drive the car to New Jersey to meet the driver or the fee would go up another 150 dollars. Well, I couldn't meet the driver so agreed. I completed an on-line form for shipping vehicles. I've done this in the past I know what to expect. Multiple offers, text messages, email, phone calls you have to be prepared. Ultimately I selected a different broker. American Auto Transport would not leave me alone. Kept texting and calling stating I was getting ripped off, that I would be ripped off if I used anyone else. We shipped our car from fl to ma last year. Very unsatisfactory to say the least. To begin with, while they had our car someone used 1/2 tank of gas driving it over 200 miles. In addition,when we picked up the car in canton ma ,both front seats had grease on them. We tried to contact this co regarding these issues. They failed to take any responsibility. In addition to them driving our car we had to pay $200 to have the grease removed.
