i have used these guys at my work and my home. they have always been prompt resonably priced and friendly. i have used them for years and will continue to do so.
My dryer was running but not heating up. They said they would look at it. I dropped it off behind the shop. A day later it was still sitting there and I had to cover it up myself because it was getting rained on. They kept it a week and found nothing wrong. Charged me \$110.00 dollars. I took it back home, called an electrician (Garrison Elect.) they fixed the wall socket for \$60 and now it works fine. Very unproffesional I will never go back.
Waited a week for a part to come and get my washer fixed and the day that they were scheduled to repair it I get a call saying the part that came in was broken! They received the part on a Wednesday, never checked it, so Friday I couldnt have my machine fixed and then I was told it would be Monday before they could get a new one. No discount was given for their mistake or lack of attention to detail. Not sure why they wouldnt check the parts when they come in. Not professional and wouldnt never do business with them again.
Do not do business with this outfit! I called and charged a repair part to my credit card with the intention of picking up the part later. Before I picked up the part, I discovered I actually did not need it. I called and cancelled the order. I NEVER picked up the part, but American Appliance refused to cancel the charge on my credit card. I disputed the charge with the credit card company, but they sided with American Appliance and I am stuck paying for a part I NEVER picked up. My washer and dryer went on the fritz just out of warranty. American Appliance stated that they contacted Whirlpool and were denied. When the repair was completed the technician (who was very nice) told me to call Whirlpool and ask them to do something. I called Whirlpool and they offered to pay for the parts. Whirlpool then called American Appliance and tried to work a service arrangement, but American Appliance refused, instead telling me too bad, so sad and thank you for your \$670.00.I did appreciate that they "squeezed"... read more
