I do not like giving bad reviews but when it is legitimate I have to share with my neighbors. I had seen American air-conditioning cars in my neighborhood and on the freeway and I thought well they must be reliable. They sent a very young man who didn’t have the proper gauges to check my unit or do a diagnostic and just said sorry bye-bye and took my money. They offered no advice, and no referral. I called another air-conditioning company and they have the right tools and they are doing a complete diagnostic and service.
Not a Company that I would ever use. I called them for HVAC repair as my unit was only blowing Hot Air. They sent out Service Technician Edward Albert and he did a lot of troubleshooting and requested the assistance of a 2nd Tech to review his findings, the guy that showed up was nothing short of a used car salesman. Things did not go well with this "salesman". Salesman wanted a decision on what New System I wanted on the spot, choose 1 out of 4 options on the spot if I wanted the quote emailed to me. If I give one star, they can challenge and have this removed. Strongly beware of this company. They will sign you up to be a preferred customer meaning that you get to pay twenty some odd dollars a month for a couple of visits a year. If they manage to pressure talk you into getting their air conditioner and heater models, know that the warranty on their products will be void if you cancel the twenty dollar preferred service. If I could give them zero stars, I would. My poor parents are living in a house with no air conditioning in the San Fernando valley after American air came for a cleaning service/routine maintenance back on May 15th and did something during the servicing to CATCH THE SYSTEM ON FIRE!! American air has been utterly neglectful since the incident. My parents had to BEG for a temporary a/c unit, which they finally supplied a whole week after the incident.
