Went out to check on the PBY, but it had already left. Had a nice chat with Bill.
On 4 June 2026 I got to see them test fly a P-51 Mustang. They've also got B-17, a B-24, and a PBY Catalina amongst other projects.
On Monday March 16th, the Aviation Club of The Villages sponsored a Fly Out to New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport to tour American Aero Services (AAS). AAS is actually located on the Southwest corner of the airport in New Smyrna. Pilots and passengers arrived at the airport around 10:00 AM and were greeted by members of AAS. Every year we visit the hangers to see what aircraft they are working on at American Aero. It is always an interesting and informative visit.
