I didn't know this company existed until today when I found out I can't get a refill on a prescription because American Accounts and Advisors is holding my ability to see my doctor for ransom. 1 star.
Received a letter from this debt collector for my father that was turned over to Collections for an ambulance bill that the VA should have taken care of. I called the company that sold the debt several times advising of this. Whomever I spoke with was COMPLETELY rude and disrespectful off the bat. I advised him about billing the VA and he told me that "As you know the VA is problematic at taking care of bills." And I said , "No sir, I've never had a problem with them taking care of his bills." I was woken up the day after Christmas by Doug Finn, a passive aggressive collector who said that I could pay off my debt in ten months by paying $200/month; I told him I needed to look at my financial situation and get back to him after the holidays, and he rudely replied something to the effect of, “oh, so this isn’t that important to you? Okay, so we have your debit until the end of next month before it goes to an attorney, good luck with everything.”
I never dreamed I would ever write a positive review for a collection agency however here I am. We were incorrectly billed instead of our insurance for EMS services and despite giving our insurance information to the EMS billing people multiple times they still sent our account to collections instead of submitting to our insurance.
