I have been studying brain health from Dr. Daniel Amen for several years now. Although Dr. Amen is very knowledgeable and clinical, he has an incredible way of explaining and sharing his knowledge. If the human brain intrigues you, and you want to grasp an understanding of how our brains work and operate and learn about neuropathways, get your hands on any work by Dr. Daniel Amen. A good start is "Change Your Brain Every Day."
My son and I both went to the Amen clinic for scans and care. I will say the scan is an amazing diagnostic tool! It was more helpful for my son. It showed a brain injury that was causing depression. Tms and supplements were recommended and I believe he is alive today because of the Amen Clinic. My experience was less helpful. I paid extra to get functional medicine evaluation and mental health follow up.
