☆☆☆☆ I brought my e-bike to Amego to fix the controller, and after getting it back, I noticed the bottom of the bike was left open and not properly put back together. This should never happen after a repair service. I also noticed that after the controller update/repair, the motor now gets much hotter than before, and the bike feels slower. I brought my Velotric Discover 2 to Amego for an electrical issue while the bike is still under 1 year warranty. After inspection, they told me the controller was faulty, but I was charged $259.87 total. Charges included: - $39.99 warranty processing fee - $69.99 electrical diagnostic fee - $119.99 controller - plus tax The bike technician was helpful and seemed to know what he was doing, but the rest of the staff didn’t seem informed about what was happening with my repair or the warranty process. Dealt with Jacob. Very knowledgeable and does not rush you into a decision. I went there with basically almost no knowledge on ebikes and left with everything I wanted to know. Will more than likely buy from there once I have done additional investigation on where I can ensure the bike's safety at work. Pannier bags broke after two days. Went back to the store and Virginia along with Matt helped me processed that. She offered alternate solutions which, hopefully, will fix it for good. Outstanding after sales.
