Ameco has been a nightmare to work with for solar battery installation. Permits were received 5 months ago and they never scheduled installation. It took several calls to get them to start install 4 months after permits came in. An installer finally showed up at our house unexpectedly at 6:45 in the morning. Since then, they have failed inspection twice, took a month to address that one of the installed batteries didn't work, and set up the battery system to only partially back up the house. Kevin was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was always friendly, responsive, and quick to address every question or request I had. They did a good job with the installation, but their customer service really leaves something to be desired. I have had to hunt them down for every update, call every day for a week to talk to "the right person" to answer fundamental questions; it's exhausting. Not sure if the cost savings outweigh the headache. Update: it's been over 6 months since we had our solar panels installed and we're still not live with them.
