Our experience with Ameco Solar LLC has been mixed. The sales process went very well — the salesperson was knowledgeable, explained exactly what we needed, and clearly described how the system should function. Update: I appreciate the call I received from Asaf in customer service; I wish I had been able to get similar responsiveness when I attempted to escalate mid-project. I genuinely hope that changes in AMECO's communication and responsiveness are a result of our situation, as our system is installed and is currently operating well. I'm struggling to rate this company, as our solar system is now installed and working, and the final cost was reasonable. For that, they deserve a star. However, the journey to get there was quite possibly the worst service experience I have ever endured, stretching out over a grueling eight months. We have purchased solar panels and installation twice for two different houses in Southern California. First experience was with one of the largest solar companies in LA over 5 years ago. That experience was poor since they damaged our roof and caused roof leaks which cost over $7000 to repair. For our experience with AMECO we had no issues with installation or roof damage. The only issues we experienced were with Southern California Edison who threw up numerous bureaucratic roadblocks in connecting our installed solar syste... read more
