I had solar panels installed with this company. A few months later I got a roof leak and they then charged me over $6000 to fix it. Their fix did not work and now they are attempting to charge another $7000 to uninstall and reinstall the solar panels in order to fix the leak. I have been advised by other roofers that this company is wildly overcharging me and I should report them to the City. I do not recommend using them.

After seeking multiple solar quotes (through SCE's marketplace and outside it) I decided to go with Ameco because their prices were competitive plus they offered an exceptional warranty on labor. The entire planning, permitting, and installation process was not without challenges (which I realize now is to be expected). This is a review for post-install / post-PTO support. While I'm not happy the issue existed in the first place, the follow-up was fantastic. I emailed on a Thursday (early morning around 1:30am) with detailed comparisons between what my app was reporting and what the utility was reporting. Was able to get on a call with customer support that afternoon and by the next morning, they had a technician at my house. For context, my system was operational but reporting incorrectly. Just got my NEC solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 up and running and approved with local utility. We signed the contract in March of 2025 and it's now mid August - it took that long from start to finish. The only complaint I have is the long delay that took place in the month of July. The system had been installed in the mid June, but my utility company changed the date for a 10 day window to install my new meter from July 1st to July 30th. Our experience with Ameco Solar LLC has been mixed. The sales process went very well — the salesperson was knowledgeable, explained exactly what we needed, and clearly described how the system should function. The design phase also went smoothly, though it lacked regular follow-up. However, once we moved into the installation stage, communication from Ameco dropped off significantly.
