I just returned and had a very nice experience. Tracy, the receptionist, was competent, efficient, and caring. Greg Kinder, the Physician's Assistant (doctor) was terrific. Good personality, focused, caring, knowledgeable, and did a good job on the minor surgery I needed. It is a great blessing to have this facility in Weyers Cave.
Wonderful experience, start to finish! The receptionist, Kayla, was very welcoming even though I got there only 15 minutes before closing time. I did not have to fill out piles of paperwork, they simply asked the questions in the room so I only had to answer them once. The xray tech, Jen, was very friendly and helpful, as was the nurse practitioner, Deonna. The NP seemed extremely knowledgable and experienced, answering all of my questions. I will definitely be back next time I need care!
Staff and care are both EXCELLENT. Billing seems a scam! They billed my insurance company for 2 visits, AND billed me 2 copay's!? My Cigna card states $25 CoPay for Urgent Care, but my insurance company said that Augusta Health sent 2 bills for the same day making it look like a "Specialist Visit" as well as an Urgent Care Visit at a different location. $25 is NOT the issue!! They accept the terms that CIGNA has negotiated as a participating provider, accept my $25 copay at time of service, then re-bill like a hole-in-the-wa... read more
I can say that things have greatly, greatly improved since the 6/2/2012 post from Sarahill1865. She was correct as I witnessed this type of thing going on and it only got worse. But after receiving many complaints they now have new staff in the ER and weeded out those who needed to go. My recent visit went much more smoothly, I was well treated, and my confidence is nearly restored with this facility.
An excellent and very much needed establishment for this area! The staff is friendly and courteous, as well as knowledgeable and efficient in their work. It certainly is helpful having a local clinic when you need blood work, mammograms and other lab work and you can avoid the long drive to the main hospital. A very appreciated establishment in our area!
It is getting better. The doctors, nurses, and staff are becoming more friendly. In the past I've had some that aren't too caring or friendly but, the last couple of times I've been in here. It has improved.
I have been there on several occasions and each time I did not wait more than a few minutes .I was treated very nicely and was in and out fast with prescriptions. I am very thank full we have a clinic like this in our rural area.
As we were traveling my 14 year old daughter started having an episode of Atrial fib. Her resting (sleeping!) heart rate was 140, when she awoke because she felt like could not breathe and was nausiated and light-headed we stopped and asked directions to the nearest medical facility. The term medical facility does not apply to this hospital, I would hardly call it a bandaid station! It was awful. I would never go back there. I waited for at least 3 hours. The doctor did not know what he was saying. I ended up going to another doctors office and they ended up finding something wrong, where as the doctor at Augusta Health Urgent Care in Weyers Cave said nothing was wrong with me. He also told me I was not dehydrated and did not need an IV, even if i was dehydrated he does not like giving IVs because drinking fluids is better and fast, maybe better but not faster...
