Ros and I stayed in the Amble Spa apartment for a couple of days in October 25 to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had previously stayed there in April 25 to celebrate Ros's birthday. We had such a good time then, we came back for my 70th. Vanessa and Jamie went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, even leaving a small birthday cake and bottle of sparkly in our room for when we arrived. Good location, walking distance to the main street. Nice garden with an abundance of birds. We started in Amble Wren, the room was stuffy & dated but good enough for a few days & well equipt for self catering.
My husband and I are still talking about what a comfortable stay we had at Amble - almost 2 weeks after we checked out! Vanessa and Jamie truly have made Amble a cosy home while away from home. The little touches - from the selection of teas, the comfortable bed, to the heated bathroom in late winter - made our stay so enjoyable that we are already talking about visiting again.
