Dr Edwards saved my life. I have a picture of her, her husband and child on my photos to remind me how great she was. I had 5 blocked arteries, it was a difficult surgery to say the least and took close to 8 hrs. I was 3 months from my 70th birthday. This wasn’t a planned surgery, so glad my wife told me we need to go to St Thomas west not the close by hospital from our home. Thanks so much for doing the L/Atrial appendage closure. That was a blessing and has kept me from taking blood thinners. The surgery was May 18th 2023.
Dr. Edwards very successfully implanted an emergency life-saving externally driven cardiac circulatory pump for essential support while we awaited a heart transplant Gift of Life. Her procedure was critical to allow time for a transplant to be matched and transplanted at ASTW. Her skills and expertise were extraordinary in working on a complex patient. We are indebted forever for her critical care on an emergency basis when time was of the essence. Accolades for her entire team!
She did a great job on my bypass su. It was very difficult but she was able to complete it and I am recovering fine. Very understanding person.
