Had a good time at the Ambassador with the owners going above and beyond to take care of us
The rooms smelled like dog. The stench was blinding. I realize it's dog friendly but I never had a room this bad. My dog was going nuts with all the smell. Also the extra charge was not identified until I checked in. The screen was off the track in the sliding glass doors. I swear the sheets were not washed either. Did not sleep on them. Will never wast my time and money here again.
Stayed for two night while travelling on vacation to enjoy the fall colours. Front staff was great and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Convenient location, The rooms are a dated but provide good utility. Safe and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for.
Room was super clean, white towels nice and fluffy, plus the staff were so friendly—great service. Plenty of parking, shower water was perfect, and there’s a coffee maker too—basically nothing to complain about. Small downsides though: the carpet smells a little off, AC is way too loud. Stayed in October (peak season) for nearly 200 CAD a night—kinda not worth it. But to be real, most hotels in Sault Ste. Marie are pricey then, not just this one.
The service was excellent. We were late checking in and got lost. They stayed on the phone with us until we made it. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. We will be back :)
