Mardy is a one-man team, and he can get busy, so take that into consideration, if you expect everything to happen quickly (especially when it comes to the after-sale service). Other than that, Mardy clearly cares for his business, and is very reasonable when it comes to vehicle pricing and doable customer requests. And, yes, always have a vehicle checked by an independent mechanic, if you plan on purchasing a 15+ year-old import.
Mardy and Amazing Auto are one of the best options in BC for importing a used vehicle from Japan - I have bought 6 vehicles of MARDY over the last 20 years and referred over 40 other very satisfied customers to him . WARNING – DON’T BUY CARS HERE The radiator started leaking after only two weeks. Not a big deal for a used car, but when I tried to contact Mardy by phone, email, and WhatsApp, he completely disappeared. There was no response until legal action was involved. Mardy was also naive enough to fake his email history (see attached email), claiming that I had not read my emails.
