Rabun Animal Hospital is awesome!
Rabun Animal Hospital is a great place to take your animals for veterinary care! They have 5 vets on staff and can usually see you same day if needed. They helped me with my dog when a huge hematoma popped up on her ear the same day I saw it. Dr Amanda was amazing and kind when dealing with Maddie. They also did me a huge favor and on the day I caught a pregnant feral cat they spayed her. I will definitely continue using this vet for my 5 dogs. The front staff ladies are great too. They definitely overbook and the wait can be very long. They seem somewhat reluctant to give you prices on specific tests. The tech and veterinarian were very kind and seemed well informed. Very pricey bill at check out but it did not reflect the testing that was done or the prices for each one. The waiting area was not large enough to accommodate the number of animals waiting for care. We spent a lot of time walking our dogs, while numerous other animals checked in. This was our 2nd visit and will be the last.
We have been going to this veterinary practice for over a year now. Dr's Amanda Markum, and Allison Parnes, literally saved our young German Shepard, as he loves to pick up Granite Rocks and carry them around. However 2 made it into his stomach and then of course couldn't pass them. Remi was saved and healed by them after emergency surgery. We live almost to Bryson City in NC mountains, but we don't mind the drive to have these professionals take care of all of our rescued "kids".
