Lovely doctor! Very personable & kind.
I felt complete confidence in this doctor. She gained my respect by consulting with a colleague before settling on a diagnosis and prescribing a treatment (=no ego problems). She listened to me attentively and took account of what I said. She put a big dent in my prejudice against DO physicians (rather than MD physicians) and against young professionals (rather than older people with more experience). All good.
Finally! for Women a female OBgyn. I salute this doctor- Amanda Deson! A Phenomenal caring doctor who will go out of her way for your health concerns. I have found her conscientious, professional with sensitive topics, and highly knowledgeable.

Had a terrible experience at Marin General that with a c section by Dr. DeSon that then required a follow up surgery days later at UCSF. The experience was incredibly rough and instead of being comforting or taking accountability, DeSon was defensive, rude, and unprofessional. I would honestly avoid Marin general overall and go to UCSF if you’re thinking about it.
