In August 2025 our house was struck by lightning and caught fire. We’ve had State Farm homeowner’s insurance for decades, our current agent is Amanda Christiansen in Roanoke, Virginia. State Farm assigned us Kim England as our adjuster, she was terrific. The damage was much worse than originally apparent because the fire burned most through the sub-floor between the main floor and the lower level. I’ve been with State Farm through this agency for a couple of years now and everyone is amazing! They are friendly, responsive, and take the time to thoroughly answer any questions.
I'd give 10 stars if I could. For years, I was with USAA, and they were OK, until they weren't. Then Geico, where like USAA, I did not have a dedicated agent. Amanda and her team are knowledgeable, personable, and easy to understand when it comes to insurance and goals for protecting what matters most. She's ethical and reputable. Best of all, the premiums she quoted were lower than USAA and Geico, and with higher coverage. Get a quote and give her a chance. If she can't beat what you've already got, she'll tell you upfront.
Zero stars. Would not recommend.
Amanda and her staff go beyond the call of duty and always have their clients best interests in mind. We had received prices for what we thought was a good jewelry policy only for Amanda to offer something far superior for less money. Appreciate the honesty. ❤️
