This place is not open to the public. Although they share driveways with other businesses, you will be threatened you are trespassing and yelled at if you go to check out the shops. I suggest you don't. They residents living in the former bed and breakfast simply need a sign and maybe a locking gate.

We stayed at the Amado on a road trip arounf Arizona. From the UK, we chose the Amado based largely on very positive comments about the owners and the location of the property. We found the poroperty for sale and the owners seemed to have handed over running to friends who I'm afraid did not come up to the standard implied by the comments. Specifically, the breakfasts were not well cooked, for example, fried eggs, broken and over cooked. Doug, the host, was super fun and knowledgeable to chat with and the location is right on the mighty Santa Cruz River. There's was abundant wildlife and an amazing breakfast. We popped down from Tucson for a one-night break from our life and to hit the back roads near Arivaca to hunt abandoned gold mines.
