Took forever to get my car booked in once the insurance gave the go ahead. They changed the date it was supposed to be going in by txt. How rude couldn't even ring to check that was ok for the date change irrespective of having booked to bring me home from taking it there for repair and drop for the collection When you ring dont hold your breath for some to answer the phone. The actual repair work on my car was done well, and I have no complaints about the quality of the repair. Unfortunately, the customer service and communication were very disappointing. After the initial inspection, I was told the repair would take around 5 days, with a 6-week wait before the repair could commence. I was happy to wait, as the car was still drivable. ADDED REVIEW COMMENT: Car covered all over with minute droplets of clear overspray coat from another vehicle repair when I got home. Had it detailed to a cost of $350 (2.5hrs cut & polish!) which RACQ refunded. I couldn't bear to put my car back into AMA, as I was traumatised by them originally. Not worth the frustration.... MAIN COMMENT: Steer clear unless you love being frustrated to the limit with no timely communication and huge wait times; I had to go in and demand my vehicle back at some point. 7 work days turned into ... read more
Would recommend changing your google hours for 4pm instead of 4:30pm as i came to pick up my car but the reception was closed. Reverse camera sensor fault was not fixed in bumper repair and no communication to say why. Aircon was full of dust and debris when i picked up my car. Not the best.
My experience with AMA Collision Tingalpa was beyond unacceptable. The repair was delayed five times. Each time, I only found out about further delays because I called them myself on the day. Staff never knew what was going on, promises for a callback were frequently given, but those callbacks never happened.
