I’ve been with AMA for 19 years, but only started working with Jane in the past year or so—I wish I had found her sooner!
Always friendly and helpful staff. You are greeted at the door and based on your needs, directed to the appropriate person for assistance. I use this office for travel info (also pick up free maps, tour books), passport photo and vehicle registration. You do need a membership but one tow job, tire repair, or locked doors covers the cost easily.
I wish I could put 0 stars - Don’t waste your time on tenant insurance. I filled out the online quote (picture above) showing me $229 per year for basic tenant insurance, and I checked “no” when asked if I have a membership. I then waited for over 2 hours on hold to buy the insurance because if you’re not a member you can’t purchase it online. This is day 3 of trying to call in was on hold 30 minutes and gave up , now today I’ve been on hold 2 hrs so far it’s a total joke . My wife has had the same problem. It’s an absolute waste of time trying to call in . It’s not any better calling the 1-800 number. I couldn’t imagine needing to call for road side assistance. Finally got thought and all my questions were resolved
What a terrible wait in line. There were 5 staff and 5 customers waiting. But only 2 staff were serving customers - who in fact are all Members! One person quit waiting and left. One person wanted a gift card and she was told to wait in the registry lineup. Why? Eventually - 15 minutes or more - we received service from a very good agent. She was efficient and friendly.
