Just went into the new AMA Westbrook office to renew my vehicle registration. Sat for 45 minutes and my name was still way back in the queue. Walked out and went to Richmond Registries and was in and out in 10 minutes. I am an AMA member but this latest “efficiency” initiative is obviously not in AMAs customers’ best interest.
We have been going to AMA for many years. Since it relocated to Westbrook Mall the staffing is an issue! The wait times are ridiculous. Staff get into personal conversations for over 20 minutes while other customers are waiting to be served. Any time we go there, there is only 2 people working and 10 to 15 people waiting. Usual wait times are half hour to 1.5 hours!! Something needs to be done about this. Some of the staff are quite rude. The service has gone downhill!
This company used to be amazing, and then completely lost the plot somehow along the way. Use ANY OTHER REGISTRY to avoid wanting to bash your head into a wall. I went in to renew my license and vehicle registration. The lady asked for a second piece of ID. I gave her my AHC card. She told me an Alberta Health Care card is not a valid form of secondary ID. Beautiful environment, comfortable seats, free coffee ;-) but waiting time is still too long. Just 5 people in line in front of us, after 90' waiting, we gave up.
3 hours on hold and counting. unacceptable, worst customer service there is and will be looking to switch providers
