I found AM42 through a Google search, about a year ago. I have a 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI, I was having difficulties finding a mechanic to work on a diesel engine. I brought it here and met Bill. He is an amazing human, to say the least. Bill has been nothing but honest and trustworthy. He actually made me study my car to learn the maintenance it requires. He most recently fixed a problem with my DEF fluid, changed my gear box oil and changed my timing belt. I will add, I had no idea my timing belt should have been changed... read more

Bill at AM42 has been amazing to work with. I have a VW Beetle and when taking it to the dealer for maintenance I always felt unsure of whether work needed to be done or not. Bill has been honest and so helpful in diagnosing and prioritizing work that my car needs. I also have appreciated his flexibility in scheduling! It’s hard to find a mechanic that is so knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to VW and the like. Thanks Bill for all of your hard work!
Came in with 2 issues. Mechanic (Bill) seemed nice at first, but after 10 days and over $2000, did not resolve either issue. 1st issue was fixed for approximately 3 days and then came back worse (loud creaking noise from back wheels). Other issue seemed not addressed at all (loose exhaust pipe). When I returned to pay the remaining balance, I notified the mechanic that the issues were still there, the mechanic got angry and accused me of trying to scam him out of the money still owed.
