I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and would just rather rent from a private owner or someone with more care. I was charged for damages that weren't mine, and even upon moving in the unit was messy as hell with scuffs all over the walls and dirty floors. I had to vacuum 3 times to feel "safe", but even then my socks still turned brown. I wonder how they're gonna charge my to "fix" these damages and "clean" the unit, when they couldn't even do the same with the last tenant. Not only this, the building is a "no smoke" ... read more
My daughter lived here for 2 years, and has just recently moved out. Altus loves to speak about safety and community standards...they have neither. You can easily enter through any number of doors without checking in or even being seen by a guard. I have no issues with anyone smoking, weed or cigarettes. It's a free country. But please do so with respect to others. The complex is smoke free, but trust me it's not. Most of my daughters bedding and decor had to be replaced due to the smell of weed. All photos were taken Sept 2023-June 2024. As a resident who has lived here for a total of 4 years, I can attest that this building isn’t an acceptable place of living at all. Firstly, there’s barely any regulation of security whatsoever in this facility. Throughout the years, people have had the ability to come in & out of this building with ease without any key. I toured Altus recently and was so impressed! The location is perfect—super close to campus and everything you’d need in Towson. The amenities are next-level, especially the sky lounge and gym. Everything felt safe, clean, and well-maintained. I also have to shout out my tour guide, Kaytie, she was helpful, super nice, and just amazing overall! She answered all my questions and made the whole experience so easy and welcoming. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for student housing in the area!
