Really not worth the high price. The alteration was for a simple hem for a silk gown. The fabric was folded over twice and the stitching is very visible. Very unhappy. Plus, the grand central location is dirty- stained chairs etc. would not recommend at all.
This place has never failed me in my dozens of tailoring requests - I can breathe easy with even the most complex adjustments knowing they’re not going to mess it up. I once brought one of those Norwegian Wool down+wool jackets and they managed to shorten the sleeves even though they had to fight through unpacking and repacking the down, which is not a straightforward thing to do (I just got short arms - most people don’t have to shorten sleeves on big winter coats). I've come here to have all my favorite jackets and pants altered. It's been an amazing experience every time and I've get like royalty 100% of the times I've come here.
They didn’t tell me they didn’t do bridal at this location. they could make the rush order but I waited an extra 2.5 hours for buttons and hemming. The buttons had a couple areas of too much spacing. And areas where it’s not straight. I’m disappointed because this place has great reviews. Now I am late to dinner with my new in laws. If they had said it was not possible I could have easily went to another place.
