Daughter has been going here since 2017. Awesome staff. Zero ego, zero favoritism environment, and family friendly environment. Students of all ages from what I have seen, learn and support one another.
This place was recommended by a friend. My kids have about 2 years of jujitsu gi and no gi experience and wanted more variety. The teacher is great, calm, he puts class into real life scenarios. Great class. I learned a lot by just watching his class. I highly recommend they have something for everyone MMA, boxing, striking, jujitsu gi and no gi.
Altruist is a family oriented gym, no matter your fitness goals or experience, Kumo Eric will help you get to where you want to be. Kids learn discipline, maturity, and more importantly how to defend themselves. I Couldn’t be more proud to be a member of this gym.
My son has trained with Kumu Eric at Altruist MMA for many years, growing from a kid to a teenager. It’s more than just martial arts, he’s learned discipline, respect and perseverance in a true ohana environment. Highly recommend!
Welcoming gym with a strong family vibe. Great mix of classes for kids and adults, all with a clear focus on safety and control. The community is supportive, especially for beginners. I took grappling, boxing, kickboxing, and MMA. Each class included strength and cardio work tailored to build power and control for the sport. The gym was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and Eric kept things engaging with his humor while staying on point. Had a lot of fun. Thanks to Eric and everyone in the classes. Highly recommended.
