This motel is a gem. Clean, comfortable and warm. Newly renovated. Ali is the best host. Amiable, very likeable and will go above and beyond. We booked one night and stayed two..Uralla is a lovely town. On booking a second night we were given fresh towels. I asked Ali if he could replace the mugs and glasses we used with fresh ones...no problem. We were asked if we would like the bed made. We said it was fine, but they did it anyway. Altona Motel is Located on the New England Highway in Uralla. Just a short stroll to Cafe's, Restaurants, Visitor Information Centre, Museum & the Pubs. Offering Very clean and comfortable Rooms at very good rates. The Rooms are well appointed. Having A/C, Electric Blankets, Microwave, Toaster, Good sized Fridge, Full Cutlery and Crockery, large Bathroom, WiFi, Free Netfix and the TCL Channel. Parking in front of the Door is handy. Handy location for a stop if travelling between Sydney and QLD.
The owner was friendly and accommodating. Rooms vary from small but enough, single-person rooms to large ones suitable for families of up to six. The motel is clean, with fast hot water a reliable TV signal, small but adequate. Milk, instant coffee, and black tea are provided. For EV owners, chargers are available 15 minutes away in Armidale. Tip: Call the motel directly for more flexible booking options
