Friendly staff. Upon arrival we found our room air conditioners didn't work. They happily moved us to another room. Great location, quiet street, very close to Southern Cross Station. Would definitely stay here again.

Small hotel with only ~50 rooms; the room was not cleaned up to the standard - other people’s hair in the bathroom and the shower; surfaces covered in dust No dedicated private parking (which was expected based on the location; paid extra) - you get a pin code for a shared parking space, owned by other hotels a couple of blocks away Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel Front desk staff are nice and friendly, which is a bonus

Room smell is decent, the room is good and the cleaning is also decent cuz there were a few stains. The A/C smell was a letdown cuz it was kinda unpleasant

Alto Hotel on Bourke is a small hotel but it is big on supplies, meaning there is generous tea/coffee sachets, tissue boxes, shower caps and many towel hanging rails in the toilet (which I find always lacking in other hotels). There are even cups in the bathroom for when I brush my teeth. There is a barista coffee machine for free coffee and free fruits and cookies in the ground floor lounge area. The only grouse is the bed is too soft, I feel like I'm in a sinkhole sinking deeper as I sleep.
