Unprofessional, unethical company! A relative of mine had a collections account with them for an HOA account she was struggling with. She received a letter from alterra stating she had 40 days to get into contact with them for a payment plan or payoff the amount. My relative made two substantial partial payments and wanted to make sure she paid of the rest accordingly so visited their "advanced website" as they refer to it there, called their office and was told by the account manager to send them "demand payment Letter" to ... read more
Alterra is an extremely dishonest company. ! they refuse to receive any of my emails trying to clear up the judgment they put on my property and name. I sold my property 18 months ago. their judgment did not showed on the prelim. the payoff demand from Seabreeze HOA which is the HOA Alterra is supposedly collecting for, was paid through escrow. still, Alterra continues to trying to collect . Is this legal? Any advise anyone can give me is greatly appreciated! thanks!
