We’ve been taking our Subaru’s to Alternative Autoworx for many years and they have always taken great care of us. They are excellent mechanics and have fair pricing that you can trust. Joel, A.J. And the crew are amazing.
A competitor wanted to replace the front lower control arms because they told me the bushings were worn. Though the competitor was technically correct that they are (slightly) worn, Alternative assured me that the bushings have a ton of miles left on them. Not only that, but when the control arms do need to be replaced, their total cost to replace is far better than any of the many other shops I contacted because Alternative has done the work before and knows how to do it without having to charge the book amount. We've taken our Subaru and Toyota to Alternative Autoworx for a few years now. Recently took the Subaru to a dealership for an oil change. The dealer recommended $1803 in additional services, apparently based solely on mileage, and not actually inspecting whether the services were needed. Some services had been previously completed at Alternative Autoworx. Took the car and the recommended services list to Alternative Autoworx. Alternative Autoworx is truly the most exceptional mechanic shop! I've used them over the years for my Subaru and each time, they are incredibly knowledgeable, far more affordable than anywhere else I've taken my car, and care deeply about the customers and their cars. :) With other mechanic experiences, I've felt like I'm being swindled and with Alternative Autoworx, there has only ever been honesty and transparency. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of a mechanic!
Positive experience with each visit. The team will take you back into the shop to point out issues. The price of service is fair as well. Happy to have found this auto shop for my Toyota Tacoma who specialize in Toyota, Honda & Subaru. Highly recommended.
